Job Description
An E&I Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe and efficient operation in industrial settings.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Installation and Configuration : Set up electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, VFD drives, motor controls, and HMI interfaces, according to industry standards and specifications . \n
- Maintenance and Calibration : Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, calibrate instruments, and maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and calibration activities . \n
- Troubleshooting and Repair : Diagnose malfunctions in electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions . \n
- Testing and Performance Evaluation : Conduct tests to evaluate system performance, reliability, and safety, ensuring compliance with operational standards . \n
- Documentation and Compliance : Maintain detailed maintenance logs, adhere to safety regulations, and ensure compliance with electrical codes and industry standards \n
- Support for Projects and Shutdowns : Assist in minor and major plant shutdowns, installation of new systems, and ongoing improvement of mechanical integrity programs \n
Required Qualifications
\n- \n
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent; trade school, vocational training, or associate/bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Electronics is preferred. \n
- Certifications : OSHA, NCCER, E&I, II, ISA, TWIC, NVQ, or other relevant licenses depending on industry requirements. \n
- Experience : Proven experience with electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, and motor controls . \n

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing complex system issues . \n
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation schematics . \n
- Proficiency with diagnostic and measurement tools, data collectors, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), . \n
- Attention to detail, safety awareness, and effective communication skills \n
- Familiarity with industrial automation, control systems, and emerging technologies . \n
