Accounting Manager

Established, profitable, and growing with recent investment capital secured. The compamy provides commercial services to several large customers across the U.S. The company is enhancing its corporate accounting group with the addition of an Accounting Manager . This role will have management responsibility up to 5 individuals.


Based in Long Island, NY, this role with report to the Corporate Controller with high visibility and interaction with senior leadership and operational leads. This role will be hands on with the preparation, review, and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Company policy, and applicable financial reporting standards.

This individual will have the opportunity to support FP&A and be involved in some high-impact growth initiatives underway.

• $9 figure revenue, profitable and well capitalized
• Multiple lines of service and revenue streams
• Operating in 20+ U.S. markets

Seeking a hands-on, accounting professional that is collaborative, strong communication skills, can lead by example and enjoys managing more junior staff.


Experience:

• Support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, financial reporting, payroll support, billing, and accounts receivable processes
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and supporting schedules
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to assist leadership with operational and strategic decision-making
• Assist external audits, tax reporting
• Supervise, train, and support accounting team members
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other related field of study
• Five years of experience in an accounting, financial consulting, auditing or public accounting firm
• Some supervisory/leadership experience
