Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities

Delivery drivers have a variety of duties in addition to driving their routes and making their deliveries. Other important responsibilities include:

• Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck
• Meeting delivery deadlines

• Performing basic truck maintenance

• Loading and unloading cargo
• Custodial responsibilities when needed
• Setting up delivery order requests from inventory and completing deliveries around campus

Job Requirements:
• Excellent work history
• Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction
• Physically demanding fast-paced environment requiring ability to work efficiently with attention to detail
• Reliable transportation
• Candidates are subject to Background check Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: High school degree preferred but not required
• Experience: Previous cleaning experience a plus

• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks with production and service

time frames as established by the company
• Ability to work with various temperatures extreme from hot to cold
