John Knox Village of Florida is seeking a friendly, safety‑focused Shuttle Bus Driver to join our Transportation team. In this role, you will make a meaningful impact every day by ensuring residents travel comfortably, safely, and with exceptional customer service.
About John Knox VillageJohn Knox Village is a not‑for‑profit Life Plan Retirement Community offering independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care to more than 1,000 residents. Our scenic 70‑acre campus in Pompano Beach is conveniently located near major highways and transportation options.
About the RoleAs a Shuttle Bus Driver, your primary responsibility is the safety and comfort of each passenger. You will assist residents in and out of the vehicle, secure seat belts, and provide warm, courteous service throughout every trip. You'll anticipate individual needs, communicate clearly, and ensure each transportation experience is positive and supportive.
You will strictly observe all traffic laws, maintain a spotless vehicle interior and exterior, and uphold the high service standards that define John Knox Village.
What We're Looking ForCDL license with passenger endorsement
Safe driving record
3+ years of passenger driving experience
Experience transporting passengers in wheelchairs
Outstanding communication skills
Ability to read, write, and speak in English
Exemplary customer service skills
Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers
Assist residents entering and exiting the vehicle
Secure seat belts and mobility devices as needed
Provide friendly, courteous, and attentive service
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
Maintain a clean, well‑kept vehicle interior and exterior
Anticipate and respond to resident needs during transport
Support a positive, resident‑centered environment
Perform other duties as assigned
