IT Inventory Management Assistant

Assist ITIM personnel in managing IT inventory. Work on-site at the Kennesaw Campus with a possibility of extensions. Travel between work locations on campus using free campus transportation. Update service request and task progress in appropriate systems. Receive and evaluate new and returned IT equipment. Assign asset tags and update equipment in the UITS IT inventory and asset database(s). Maintain inventory records of all IT inventory and assets received, stored, deployed, and retired. Affix RFID tags to equipment for inventory and tracking purposes. Maintain location of consumables and assets in the Asset Management System. Assist in organizing and maintaining the IT storerooms or warehouses. Pull stock and/or new items to fill parts list for upcoming installations and projects. Process IT inventory surplus according to USG and DOAS procedures. Maintain a neat and orderly working environment and file various IT inventory documents in accordance with ITOP processes. Two years of experience in warehousing, material storage, inventory processing, and asset management required. Ability to improve process responsiveness and customer service, anticipate problems, develop solutions, handle multiple tasks, communicate risks, benefits, and alternatives, and interface professionally with various parties required. Skills required include strong interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, organization, communication, time management, and relationship-building skills, proficiency with computer applications and programs associated with the position, strong attention to detail and follow-up skills, and strong customer service, phone, and email etiquette.
