Come be a part of our mission.This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.In this job, you will:Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality systems and protocols for processing software.Collaborate with software engineering and systems engineering functions to ensure quality standards are in place.Devise and implement methods for testing and evaluating software.Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment.Witness acceptance tests (FAT, SAT, etc.)Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.Assist Software Engineering in reporting metrics to the SCRUM process including monitoring and assisting with the Epics, Sprints, Spirals, and Discrepancy Reports (DR) entry, resolution, closure and metrics around DR.Other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience. Requires an active Top-Secret at time of application with ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearanceExperience in AS9100 based quality system implementation and maintenanceUnderstanding of software engineering principles, practices, and theoriesStrong knowledge of functional, regression, performance, and security testingProficiency with test‑automation framework and experience embedding automated tests into CI pipelinesCompetent in a high‑level language used for test scriptsExperience in code reviews, software peer reviews, and technical documentation reviewsKnowledge of software configuration control methodsExperience in software related metrics and reportingAgile practices – Active participation in sprint planning, daily standups/SCRUM, retrospectives, backlog groomingStrong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally while maintaining an independent role reporting to Mission AssuranceObservation reporting, traceability, monitoring and assisting in test failuresPreferredQualifications:Ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software problem tracking tools such as DOORs, Jira, Confluence, and BitbucketExperience using SAP Business SuiteExperience in Root Cause InvestigationAS9100 auditing experience and/or auditor trainingCurious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector? Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
