Lead Registered Nurse – Joliet – Cardiology Position Highlights Full‑time, 40 hours/week Hours: Varied; Monday–Friday, weekends as needed Location: Joliet Travel: Coverage needed as required Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits with healthcare navigation assistance Free mental health benefit Employer‑provided life and disability insurance $5,250 tuition reimbursement per year Immediate 401(k) match 40 hours paid volunteer time off Culture committed to community engagement and social impact Up to 12 weeks parental leave at 100% pay Financial benefit for adoption and surrogacy for non‑physician team members upon eligibility Responsibilities Perform and delegate a variety of tasks to facilitate physician and office visits, including responsibility and accountability for care provided by LPN and patient care technicians as assigned according to nursing standards Supervise work performed by department clinical staff (RN, LPN, PCT), coaching the team by guiding, directing, motivating, and mediating conflict resolution Utilize interactive communication with manager, physicians, and other healthcare members to provide and implement a comprehensive, integrated plan of care for patients Assist with staff development, new employee orientation, and training; monitor and ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures Ensure continuity and appropriateness of nursing care during office hours on duty and act as a resource regarding clinical issues of patient care; supervise daily staff assignments and re‑assign based on acuity, volume, and staffing needs Provide performance evaluation feedback to supervisors and managers on clinical staff Direct patient flow problems as needed; handle patient complaints during office visits Seek opportunities to improve or enhance nursing and leadership skills through membership on safety or continuous quality improvement committees or other special projects within the clinic Serve as resource nurse for addressing staff and physician issues; liaison between physicians, clinical staff, and patients Ensure staff compliance with federally mandated OSHA regulations Perform other projects and duties related to department objectives Maintain teamwork, accept constructive criticism, and follow work rules; order vaccines Qualifications Minimum three years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting Valid Illinois registered nurse license High school diploma or GED and an accredited nursing program certificate Knowledge of nursing skills in accordance with nurse practice act standards required Current Illinois RN license and current CPR certification Compensation Base pay range: $28,000–$42,000; actual pay determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
