Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description Mechanical Design Engineer This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity. Pay Range:
- $75 - 100K, depending on experience
- This person will work to enhance our engineering staff and plan for future growth.
- The candidate will work to design new and upgraded machinery using their experience and the company's machinery and engineering expertise.
- There will be direct customer interaction and possibly an occasional customer visit for collaboration and design understanding.
- Design of custom machinery.
- Producing detailed drawings and required documentation.
- Responsible for entire project cycle.
- Provide engineering support for manufacturing and sales.
- Updating and putting together manuals and parts list.
- Must possess strong verbal and communication skills.
- Proficient with several software packages including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or BSMET)
- 3+ years of experience designing mechanical components or machinery
- Ability to collaborate with sales and customers to successfully bring needs, ideas and machinery solutions together
- Proficient in AutoDesk Inventor - other 3D may be considered but Inventor highly preferred
- Ability to apply and comprehend mechanical engineering math and principals
- Ability to manage assigned design projects from concept to successful installations
