Surgical Tech

Job Summary We are seeking a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech for a dynamic operating room environment. This role is crucial in assisting the surgical team by preparing the operating room, equipment, and supplies, and by providing direct assistance to the surgeon during procedures. Key Responsibilities Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies are available and ready for surgical procedures. Set up and maintain the sterile field according to aseptic techniques. Act as a scrub person, handing instruments and supplies to the surgeon as needed. Assist the surgeon with surgical procedures by anticipating needs and responding efficiently. Troubleshoot and manage equipment during surgery. Maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients and the surgical team. Participate in surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments. Clean and maintain surgical equipment and instruments after procedures. Schedule / Shift Shift: 4x10 Days General Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (may vary based on patient schedule) Thursdays: Start at 8:30 AM Weekends and Holidays: Closed (on call only) On Call Monday-Friday: 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM Saturday/Sunday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Call Frequency: 2-3 times per month Weekend call is reserved for ERCP Certified clinicians. Weekday overnight call rarely results in clinicians being called in. Floating / On-Call May float to Swedish Ballard Campus. Required Qualifications 1 Year Experience 1st Timers Accepted Certifications BLS MA-C Surgical Tech Washington License Experience Experience with Sterris AER is required. Unit / Specialty Operating Room Skills Ability to maintain sterile technique. Proficient in instrument identification and handling. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
