HVAC Tech/Mechanic in Dallas

Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting HVAC Tech/Mechanics to support the North Texas VA Medical Center located at 4500 S. Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX 75216. Shift schedule will typically be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Responsibilities Install, operate, repair, and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and chilled water systems. Work on equipment ranging from small domestic units to systems up to 300 HP and central plants up to 500 tons. Inspect HVAC and refrigeration equipment for proper operation. Perform preventive maintenance and both major and minor repairs. Troubleshoot refrigerant leaks, mechanical failures, and control systems. Service compressors and HVAC components. Adjust, calibrate, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic controls. Perform chemical treatment of HVAC water systems. Coordinate daily work assignments with the VA COR. Provide daily reports including completed work, preventive maintenance, parts replaced, equipment serviced, and follow-up needs. Complete daily timecards and documentation of work performed. Follow VA check-in/check-out procedures and safety requirements. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of journeyman-level refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and chilled water systems. Experience performing repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance on large commercial HVAC systems. Experience in hospital or critical infrastructure environments Active Texas HVAC License required. Siemens Controls Training certification required. OSHA Certification required.
