Senior Hospital Accountant

Job Summary The Senior Hospital Accountant will be responsible for preparing and posting monthly and yearly journal entries, maintaining supporting schedules that reconcile to the General Ledger, reviewing surveys, responding to staff accountant questions and inquiries from Hospital and Campus departments as well as external agencies, performing physical inventories and price testing, compiling and reporting on grant activity, and performing ad‑hoc projects as requested. The role requires an overall understanding of all Hospital Accountant responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting and three years of accounting experience. Knowledge of accounting standards, policies and procedures. Ability to identify issues and propose solutions. Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills. Familiarity with spreadsheet applications such as Excel. Preferred Qualifications CPA preferred. Hospital or healthcare accounting experience preferred.
