TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Endoscopy RN in Saint Joseph, Missouri, 64506!

Job Title: GI Lab Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Gastroenterology Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Travel experience required Description: The GI Lab RN will work in a unit with 11 pre/post bays and 3 procedure rooms. This unit exclusively services GI patients. Shift is 5 days per week from 07:00 to 15:30. Call is required once a week from 15:30 to 07:00. There are three weekend on-call shifts per contract from Friday at 15:30 to Monday at 07:00. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. 12-hour weekly on-call coverage is expected on weekends. The unit sees a daily census of approximately 25 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary. Common patient diagnoses include GI bleed, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, diarrhea, constipation, bile duct obstruction, pancreatic cyst, and screening colonoscopy. Special procedures performed in this unit include endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, Botox injections, Kenalog injections, dilation, radiofrequency ablation, and small bowel capsule endoscopy. Candidates must have strong skills in airway management, circulating during procedures, and handling endoscopic equipment. Experience with charting systems is important. Candidates without previous travel experience will not be considered.
