CNC Lathe Operator

Set-up and operate CNC machine tools (CNC lathe/mill). Set-up and operate various manual machine tools (drill press, belt sander, etc.). Proficient using measuring instruments and gauges. Proficient using various hand tools. Ability to work well with fellow employees including active participation in employee involvement activities and problem solving. Fully support and participate in promoting safety at all times. Maintain clean, efficient work area. Ability to work well with minimum supervision. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: 2 years in a manufacturing environment that includes CNC equipment Physical and Working Conditions Standing, bending, lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs., periodically during an 8 to 12 hr. work shift. Dexterity required includes the ability to safely work with power and hand tools. Normal hazards associated with working in a metal fabricating environment. Personal protection equipment required: safety glasses, steel-toed shoes and hearing protection. Additional PPE may be required depending on the work performed.
