Registered Nurse - ER

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency DepartmentProvide direct patient care as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in a 7-bed Emergency Department at a critical access hospital. Care for patients across all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Work 13-week assignment with 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); possible opportunity for 4x12s. Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Attend orientation during the first week, then transition to independent practice. Assess, triage, and manage patients with a variety of non-trauma emergency presentations and all acuity levels. Occasionally float to Med-Surg unit as needed. Perform key clinical skills: cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, emergency/code response, IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, medication administration, Holter monitor application, and documentation of defibrillation/dextrose administration. Work with ventilated patients (preferred). Utilize Omnicell for medication management, Meditech for documentation, and SBAR for communication. Maintain active PA RN license and required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS. Adhere to facility dress code (scrubs: any color except camouflage or denim). Ensure high standards of patient safety, documentation, and communication within a small, multidisciplinary care team.
