Part Time and Full Time

Evening and Day Shifts available

Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute the day-to-day functions of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), including providing direct nursing care to residents, supervising nursing assistants, and maintaining a positive and calm environment.

• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents, provide leadership to nursing personnel, and complete required record keeping forms.

• Administer medications and perform routine charting duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Develop and maintain good working relationships with inter-departmental personnel and create a positive atmosphere throughout the unit.

• Administer professional services, monitor personnel to ensure safety regulations are followed, and maintain confidentiality of resident care information.

Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Ability to make independent decisions and be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.

• Current CPR Certification required.

• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.

• Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position.

• Ability to meet general health requirements set forth by the facility.

• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum.
