City of Hope's growing national system includes its Los Angeles campus, a network of clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and cancer treatment centers and outpatient facilities in the Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix areas.The successful candidate:Schedule: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, with various weekdays as scheduled.Position SummaryPerforms a variety of laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Transfusion Services, with accuracy and efficiency. Applies knowledge of testing methodologies and laboratory principles to support clinical decision-making and quality patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.Conduct quality control testing and routine instrument maintenance.Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and ensure optimal instrument performance.Perform phlebotomy as needed.Train and mentor new employees and students as assigned.Cross-train and support specialized laboratory areas, including Flow Cytometry, Microbiology, and Cellular Therapy.Position QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience:Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, orBachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, orMedical Technologist certification with a minimum of two (2) years of clinical hospital laboratory experience.City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.City of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.Please note: City of Hope is committed to a safe and transparent hiring experience.
