Our center is equipped with the latest rehabilitation technologies, allowing you to provide effective therapy services while ensuring your safety and that of our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical abilities through diagnostic and prognostic tests, developing individualized treatment plans based on results.Administer targeted physical therapy interventions, including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage, while instructing and motivating clients in their engagement with prescribed activities.Oversee the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to established care protocols and offering guidance during treatment sessions.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals during case conferences to create holistic treatment strategies that support clients' health objectives.Document progress accurately by preparing clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with state regulations.Provide education to clients and their families regarding home exercise programs, the use of assistive devices, and the steps needed to maintain continuous improvement.Make assessments of clients' home environments and provide recommendations to enhance safety and independence during recovery.Regularly liaise with physicians and case managers to share updates regarding treatment effectiveness and propose modifications to care plans as needed.Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations governing patient care within the physical therapy domain.Engage with patients in a compassionate manner, maintaining a positive attitude and creating a motivating atmosphere that fosters recovery.Patient Population / Client FocusThe clients you will serve mainly include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. Your role entails focusing on their unique histories, symptoms, and lifestyle factors to effectively guide them through their rehabilitation process. Every interaction with clients emphasizes a holistic, patient-centered approach that champions their progress toward autonomy and improved quality of life.QualificationsPossession of an active Physical Therapy license in Virginia (in good standing) is mandatory for this role.A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required before application.At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or home care setting is required, showcasing a strong foundation in patient care.Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license are necessary, along with reliable transportation.Excellent communication skills, emphasizing both verbal and written abilities, to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.Highly motivated individual with a strong commitment to continuous professional development and clinical excellence.A collaborative team player who engages positively with coworkers and is dedicated to improving patient outcomes.Preferred ExperienceExperience working in a rehabilitation center or with multidisciplinary teams.Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation practices within therapy settings.Background in treating a wide range of conditions, especially those requiring innovative therapeutic approaches.Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
