Associate Legal Counsel

We’re partnering with a highly regarded boutique investment bank in New York that is looking to hire an Associate Counsel to join its growing legal team. Opportunity This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior attorney with 3-4 years of experience who wants to move closer to the business and gain hands‑on exposure to transactions, senior leadership, and investment banking operations in a collaborative, high‑performance environment. Role Overview Working directly alongside the General Counsel, you’ll play a key role supporting deal execution and advising bankers and corporate functions across the firm. The role offers significant responsibility from day one and a clear path toward a broader transactional legal career. Key Responsibilities Drafting, reviewing and negotiating engagement letters, NDAs, access letters and other deal‑related documentation Reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor, consulting, licensing and service contracts Supporting bankers through internal compliance, conflicts and KYC processes Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to provide practical legal guidance Helping drive legal innovation initiatives, including the adoption of AI and technology solutions across legal workflows Desired Experience & Skills 3‑4 years of corporate, M&A or transactional legal experience Strong drafting and negotiation skills Exceptional attention to detail Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities Strong commercial judgment and pragmatic approach to problem solving Desire to learn, develop and take on increasing responsibility Confidence and credibility to engage with senior investment bankers in a fast‑paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr JCW Group
