Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a healthcare team in Beckley, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide respiratory care services, assess and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and respiratory treatments.
• Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
• Perform diagnostic testing, including arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function assessments.
• Evaluate patient response to treatment and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Minimum Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of West Virginia.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hospital-based respiratory therapy experience.
• Experience working with adult and pediatric patient populations.
• Knowledge of mechanical ventilation and critical care respiratory management.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certifications preferred.
