Job Summary The Retail Store Manager in Training (MIT) will complete a comprehensive training program to prepare for a full‑time Store Manager role. Upon completion, the MIT will lead retail operations at a Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay store. Location & Compensation Address: 396 Atlantic Avenue, Pittsburg, California 94565. Pay Range: Minimum $77,250.00. Eligible for a monthly bonus based on performance goals. Responsibilities Develop and execute retail operations plan to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly income, revenue, and production goals. Coordinate with Retail District Manager to implement strategic plans and drive donations. Monitor product levels and inventory to meet sales targets and achieve budgeted spend. Manage payroll and operating costs within budget. Ensure excellent customer service from store team and maintain store appearance. Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote the Goodwill mission. Attend in‑person training and development sessions and maintain consistent attendance. Serve as a Goodwill ambassador, representing the brand in the community. Lead, coach, and develop the Assistant Store Manager, Production Team, and Donation Attendants. Implement performance management processes: coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews. Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations. Assist with cross‑store coverage and support business needs. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years retail management experience, preferably thrift. At least 1 year of customer service experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to pass background check and drug screen (as required). Fluency in English (written and spoken). Reliable transportation for travel and training sessions. Competencies People Leadership – inspire and motivate team. Performance Management – drive high results, manage budgets.
