Production Lead - 1st Shift

Position Summary Responsible for supervising and managing activities directly related to the daily business needs. This includes direction and leadership, managing daily production workload, ensuring quality, facilitating cross‑training, skill development, and approving time‑off and hours worked. The role requires moderate discretion and independent judgment in developing, analyzing, and delivering both simple and complex information. Key Responsibilities Assign work assignments based on daily department needs and departmental metrics. Conduct people‑leader activities such as approving time‑off, performing performance appraisals, coaching, and disciplinary actions while maintaining company policies and procedures. Communicate written and oral schedules, goals, and quality issues to employees, other shifts, and support staff, ensuring customer expectations are met. Ensure employees receive appropriate assembly build instruction training and comply with all applicable training requirements. Intelligently flex workforce based on customer schedules, training, and skill sets. Support and lead improvement initiatives, actively participating to improve safety, cleanliness, product quality, and efficiency, including generating innovative solutions to complex problems. Qualifications High School diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related experience; more experience preferred. Basic decision‑making and problem‑solving skills. Basic supervision and team‑building skills. Good communication skills. Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace). Basic data analysis and presentation skills. Knowledge of general office equipment and materials. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and/or stand for the duration of shift. Reach at waist and occasionally above head. Carry up to 4.5Kg (15lbs) and lift up to 20.4Kg (45lbs). Use fine motor skills and occasional use of hand tools. Frequent push, pull, bend, kneel, and/or stoop. Meet visual acuity requirements defined by industry certifications and customer specifications. Travel Requirements N/A Benefits Annual compensation range: $45,300.00 – $67,900.00 (salary based on location, experience, education, licensure, and skill level). Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00AM–2:00PM (first shift).
