Manufacturing Technician III

Technician IIIMaterion is seeking a detail-oriented Technician III to join our rapidly growing Photolithography team within Precision Optics and Thin Film Coatings located in Westford and Tyngsboro, MA. An ideal candidate would be result focused who continuously learns, develop, improve, collaborate and communicates effectively.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Independently perform the following functions, including but not limited to the following.Follows procedures in operating production equipment and performing processing steps within designated department; accurately completes production documentation.Practices safe work habits and adhere to Materion's safety procedures & guidelinesDetects and reports improper operation and/or faulty equipment, defective materials and when a process is not within its parameters. Participates in investigations.Performs semi-routine equipment maintenance and upkeepWorks with process engineers to improve process(es) as requested.Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area, equipment and areas where substrates and chemicals are prepared or storedRecords yields, efficiencies and all other dataListens and gets clarification; responds well to questions from all levels of expertise.Makes sound and well-informed decisions; perceives the impact and implications of decisionsTechnical SkillsIntermediate understanding of Thin Film CoatingIntermediate understanding of Test EquipmentExperience with Mil-Specs for Optical CoatingsEducation/Experience:High School diploma or GED5-7 years of related experiencePrior experience working in Optics Manufacturing environmentAbility to read and follow procedures as outlined in the individual process groupAbility to document results and maintain appropriate paperworkAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and/or equivalent to High School MathAbility to perform basic Manufacturing/Quality measurement techniques and toolsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of manufacturing computer software, as well as an understanding of word processing software and general reporting software/programs, including basic knowledge of MS Office.Pay range: $28.00-32.00 per hourThe selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).Materion Corporation and its subsidiaries (the "Company") is an equal employment opportunity employer.
