About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years, preference for experienced travelers License: Active compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Trauma and procedural sedation management experience Ability to perform trach care and defibrillation Experience with breathing treatments and feeding tube management Knowledge of vascular device access and care Description: Candidates with two years of experience are preferred. This role takes place in a free-standing emergency department. The facility does not have respiratory therapy or pharmacy services on site. Approximately 15% of patients are pediatric. Registered Nurses will perform rapid sequence intubation and sedation procedures. Key responsibilities include care of ventilated patients and central line management. Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is required. Nurses will be expected to obtain 12-lead EKGs and perform phlebotomy. Teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration are essential for this role. The patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily patient ratios are 1:4 during daytime shifts. Additional skills in blood product administration and triage are also required.
