Department : SA Admissions &Outreach Salary : Commensurate withExperience/Education Description : The College of Medicine seeks a mission-driven Director ofOutreach and Pathways to lead the design, coordination, andevaluation of comprehensive outreach efforts and pathwayinitiatives. This position is critical in advancing the COM?scommitment to educational access, health equity, and studentsuccess by developing strong partnerships with K?12 schools,post-secondary institutions, and community-based organizations. Theideal candidate will bring proven experience inpartnership-building, program management, and student-centeredpathway development.

1. Oversees, coordinates, and evaluates outreach activities andpathway programs to ensure strategic effectiveness.
2. Collaborates with the Associate Dean of Admissions and Outreachto develop and strengthen partnerships with K-12 and post-secondaryinstitutions.
3. Serves as the COM JAMP Director, representing the College atJAMP-related events and managing all JAMP-related activities withinthe Office of Admissions and Outreach.
4. Organizes and coordinates COM-sponsored events aimed atfostering collaborations with educational and community-basedorganizations.
5. Stays informed of developments in the professional landscapethrough associations, webinars, conferences, and publications;participates in relevant professional developmentopportunities.
6. Assists in planning and executing engagement activities inpartnership with the UH Honors College for HMed (HonorsMed)students.
7. Coordinates with Marketing and Communications to develop digitaland print materials, updates the website, and disseminatesinformation about events and programs.
8. Supports the development of annual goals, objectives, andevaluation strategies to improve outreach program effectiveness andoperational efficiency.
9. Prepares reports on program outcomes to inform qualityimprovement, strategic planning, and compliance efforts.
10. Supervises support staff, overseeing their work, providingtraining, conducting evaluations, and ensuring alignment withpolicies and regulations.
11. Manages the Office of Admissions and Outreach budget, ensuringproper allocation and financial oversight. 12. Utilizes technologyand data management systems to monitor program performance,anticipates issues, and resolves inquiries or conflictseffectively.

13. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical andpractical aspects of an analytical, technical or professionaldiscipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtainedthrough a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a collegeor university or an equivalent in-depth specialized trainingprogram that is directly related to the type of work beingperformed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directlyjob-related experience. Preferred: Experience in academicmedicine.
