Chief Accounting Officer

Compensation: $250,000 - $325,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Equity Location: Orange, CA 92856 (Onsite) Company Description: Our publicly traded, inventory-based client is searching for a Chief Accounting Officer to lead the accounting function across a large platform. This individual will report to executive leadership and oversee a multi-layered accounting team, playing a critical role in the company's financial strategy, operational performance, and value creation. This high-impact position offers direct visibility to the executive team and meaningful influence over the company's continued growth. Their ideal candidate must have a CPA license, extensive progressive accounting leadership experience at the Sr. Controller level or above, and a strong background in internal controls within large, complex organizations. High-impact leadership role at a market-leading, scaled platform Direct visibility and exposure to the CFO and executive team Opportunity to professionalize and transform the accounting function Career-growth opportunities Casual Work Environment Responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational oversight of the company's accounting infrastructure across multiple business segments Guarantee the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all external and internal financial reporting deliverables Serve as a key stakeholder in the evaluation, selection, and rollout of enterprise financial systems Own the SOX compliance program, ensuring a well-controlled environment across a complex, decentralized organization Establish and safeguard a robust controls environment appropriate for a complex, decentralized organization Recruit, develop, and scale a high-performing accounting function to support organizational growth Champion initiatives that modernize and streamline financial close and reporting workflows Serve as a trusted advisor to operational and executive stakeholders on financial matters affecting the business Provide accounting leadership and structure for corporate development activity, including deal evaluation and integration planning Guide the ongoing evolution of financial systems and infrastructure to support a growing enterprise Influence enterprise-wide financial strategy through close partnership with senior leadership Elevate the maturity and sophistication of accounting processes to support long-term scalability Requirements: CPA license required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Significant progressive accounting leadership experience, including senior-level oversight of a corporate accounting function Experience operating within large and complex organizations Strong background in internal controls, compliance, and external audit management Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams through periods of change Hands-on leadership style with strong executive presence and communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
