The Food Service Technician plays a crucial role in facilitating the distribution and organization of food supplies across our facilities. This role focuses on the logistical aspects of food service operations, including ordering, receiving, packaging, and delivering food items according to the needs of each facility, ensuring efficient and effective service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ordered and received bulk food items and kitchen supplies, both online and in-store.
• Accurately portion and package food items specific to the requirements of each facility.
• Deliver packaged food supplies to various facilities, ensuring timely distribution.
• Maintain inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
• Keep detailed records of inventory and deliveries to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Uphold health and safety standards in the handling and transportation of food items.
• Work closely with the food service team to understand the dietary needs and preferences of residents across facilities.
• Communicate regularly with the Food Service Supervisor regarding supply needs, delivery schedules, and any discrepancies or issues in the food service process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food service distribution or inventory management preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a thorough background check.
• Strong organizational and logistical skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks involved in packing and distributing food supplies.
• Basic proficiency in technology for tracking inventory and managing delivery schedules.
