- Experience assisting with pericardiocentesis and other procedures
- Ability to measure accurate EFs
- Willingness to do preliminary findings and report modifications
- Fetal scan experience and stress test experience preferred
Description:
A Cardiac Sonographer is needed for a noninvasive cardiology department.
The facility has two echo suites and two TEE rooms, and staff will go to bedside for inpatients.
The average patient census is 40-60 per day.
The role involves working with various patient types and common diagnoses, including CHF, pre/post Cath, and pre/post CABG.
The Sonographer will also support a large structural program and perform bubble studies and stress tests.
Call shifts are required, typically one night per week, and holiday call duties may apply.
The department operates with a modified self-schedule, allowing requested days off with final approval.
Staff support includes other Echo techs and a manager during the day, as well as a rapid response/code team.
Technologies utilized include EMR and PACS systems, specifically Philips Cardiovascular equipment.
