Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney to join its personal injury team in Albany, GA. This position offers the opportunity to represent clients throughout Georgia and requires an active Georgia Bar license in good standing. The firm is committed to achieving the best outcomes for clients and seeks an attorney with strong courtroom skills and proven litigation experience. Duties Represent clients in personal injury matters from initial litigation through settlement or verdict. Draft and file litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda. Conduct and defend depositions. Handle mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings, including jury selection, opening/closing statements, and examinations. Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff to ensure thorough case preparation. Requirements Active membership in the Georgia Bar, in good standing. Ideally 1+ years of litigation/trial experience in personal injury or related areas, but willing to train those with less experience. Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Active Georgia Law License. Skills Strong negotiation and advocacy skills. Proficient in legal research and writing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
