Step into a rewarding opportunity as an Intervention Specialist, supporting young learners in a rural elementary school setting. This contract position offers the chance to make a lasting impact, working with PreK-2nd grade students in a dedicated resource room. With direct support from two paraprofessionals, you'll be able to focus your expertise where it matters most: helping students with low-incidence disabilities succeed academically and socially.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license required
• Experience working with early childhood or elementary-aged children
• Strong background in special education and individualized instruction
• Knowledge of best practices for students with low-incidence disabilities
• Collaborative approach with ability to work closely with paraprofessionals
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
• Ability to commit to the duration of the contract (ASAP – June 2027)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 6-8 students in a resource room setting
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide differentiated instruction aligned with students’ unique needs
• Collaborate with general education staff, parents, and support team members
• Utilize data-driven practices to monitor student progress and adjust interventions
• Maintain a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
• Work cooperatively with assigned paraprofessionals
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM, for a total of 35 hours per week
