Contractor PositionThe contractor will work closely with mechanical, manufacturing, and design engineering teams to address a backlog of tooling design, fabrication, and production-support activities.MUST HAVES:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering5–10 years of Mechanical Engineering experience3+ years of CAD design experience involving:Complex systems design3D modelingEngineering drawingsGD&TProficiency with Siemens NX (3D Modeling)Teamcenter experienceTooling design experience in a manufacturing or production environmentExperience collaborating with manufacturing and design/engineering teamsDesign review experienceHands-on fabrication and assembly experienceStructural analysis experience, including:Hand calculationsFinite Element Analysis (FEA)Simcenter 3DProject management experience, including scheduling and budgetingStrong mechanical engineering fundamentalsNICE TO HAVES:Aerospace industry experienceExperience designing tooling, fixtures, or equipment for aerospace hardwareLaser tracking experienceExperience with assembly, alignment, or test fixturesKnowledge of manufacturing processes and rapid prototyping methodsLean, Six Sigma, or other Operational Excellence training/certificationsStrong critical-thinking and problem-solving skillsThis is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $68.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
