Accredited Medical Records Technician

Position Overview Performs the coding function on all discharged inpatients and outpatients in a competent, efficient, reliable and timely fashion. Customers include physicians, health information management staff, insurance companies and reviewers. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Health Information Management, UHS Delaware Valley Hospital Compensation and Hours Compensation Range: $21.31 - $30.90 per hour, depending on experience Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Education/Experience Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED with two (2) years of work related training or experience in coding Experience with encoder systems and computer information systems Preferred: Not Applicable License/Certification Minimum Required: Active Credentialed Status as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Preferred: Not Applicable Why You’ll Love Working at UHS At United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
