We’re partnering with a modern civil defense law firm in an early but intentional growth phase. The practice is national in scope, with a strong and growing California presence, and operates on a remote-first platform that allows attorneys to work from anywhere while staying closely connected to leadership. Growth is driven by client demand and strong performance, not turnover.

Job Details

What You’ll Do

• Independently manage a California civil defense caseload from inception through resolution
• Handle depositions, discovery, motion practice, and reporting
• Own files end-to-end with minimal oversight
• Collaborate closely with leadership in a trust-based, accountability-driven environment

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of civil defense experience at an insurance defense firm
• Active California bar license required
• Ability to manage cases independently (no hand-holding)
• Strong judgment, accountability, and follow-through
• Growth-oriented mindset with interest in long-term advancement

Work Model & Location

• Fully remote option available
• Hybrid flexibility for candidates near a major Midwest office
• Attorneys may work remotely from anywhere with appropriate licensure
