Role Summary As a Room Attendant you will be responsible for the cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of every guest room and assigned area in the hotel as the property transitions to the Tapestry by Hilton lifestyle brand. Your work will set the tone for every guest stay and support the hotel’s promise of an intentional, curated experience. Responsibilities Clean and service assignable guest rooms according to hotel standards, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms, replenishing amenities, and ensuring all surfaces are spotless. Follow the lifestyle‑brand room‑setup standards, paying close attention to linen presentation, towel folding, amenity placement, and overall look and feel. Inspect each room upon completion to ensure it meets quality standards before marking it ready for guest arrival; correct any issues before leaving. Handle check‑out rooms, stay‑over rooms, and deep cleans with consistent care and adjust your approach based on guest preferences and special requests recorded in the system. Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety concerns to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Engineering immediately. Manage the room assignment sheet efficiently, prioritizing rooms based on guest arrivals, VIP requests, and operational needs communicated by the front desk and housekeeping leadership. Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals, PPE, and infection control procedures. Follow lost and found procedures for any guest items discovered during room cleaning, ensuring proper documentation and secure handling. Keep the housekeeping cart organized, stocked, and presentable at all times. Stay current on all hotel policies and procedures related to housekeeping operations, guest privacy, security protocols, and brand standards. Participate in ongoing training programs related to cleaning techniques, brand standards, safety procedures, and guest service excellence. Greet guests warmly and professionally in hallways, elevators, and common areas, and respond to guest requests promptly. Communicate effectively with the Housekeeping Supervisor, front desk, and fellow team members to coordinate room status updates, special requests, and any issues that arise during your shift. Support cleaning and maintenance of public areas, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and back‑of‑house spaces as assigned. Assist with turndown service, special event room preparations, laundry operations, linen counts, and supply inventory as directed. Required Qualifications Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment preferred but not required; training is provided for the right candidate. Strong attention to detail and personal pride in delivering high‑quality, consistent work. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across a full room assignment. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods throughout a shift. Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to work varied schedules, including weekends, holidays, and early morning or evening shifts. Basic English communication skills for guest interaction and team coordination (bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus). Preferred Qualifications Experience in a lifestyle, boutique, or upscale hotel environment where room presentation goes beyond basic cleanliness. Familiarity with eco‑friendly cleaning practices and sustainable housekeeping operations. Knowledge of proper handling and use of commercial cleaning chemicals and equipment. Experience with hotel property management systems for room status updates (training provided). Demonstrated interest in hospitality and a desire to grow within the industry. Compensation $25.00 – $27.00 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years of experience, certifications, and specific location.
