We’re seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to support a DOD client in the design, development, and deployment of data analytics, business intelligence, workflow automation, and low-code application solutions. This individual will work directly with the client and civilian government stakeholders to transform business requirements into actionable analytics, dashboards, and mission-support applications that improve operational effectiveness, transparency, and decision-making.

This position supports a growing portfolio of work focused on operational analytics, enterprise reporting, workflow modernization, AI-enabled tools, and Power Platform-based solutions.

Your key responsibilities

You’ll spend most of your time working with a wide variety of clients delivering the latest data science and big data technologies and practices to design, build and maintain scalable and robust solutions that unify, enrich and analyze data from multiple sources.

Skills and attributes for success

• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise ontologies, semantic data models, or operational data frameworks that translate business processes, assets, work orders, and performance measures into reusable analytics-ready data structures. Based on PAE SI requirements, this includes defining ontology objects, relationships, and governance models aligned to mission outcomes.
• Experience mapping curated enterprise data products into ontology-driven environments and establishing standardized relationships between entities to support analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making. This includes translating Gold-layer data into mission-relevant business objects and enabling downstream consumption.
• Experience facilitating collaboration among business owners, data architects, engineers, and end users to define data definitions, business rules, object hierarchies, metadata standards, and data governance requirements that support trusted partners.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Must have a bachelor's degree
• Must have 3-5+ years of related experience within AI & Data
• Must be comfortable working in-person as needed
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise ontologies, semantic data models or operational data frameworks
• Experience mapping enterprise data products into ontology – driven environments and establishing standardized relationships between entities to support analytics, reporting, and decision-making.

Ideally, you’ll also have

· Experience with Palantir Foundry , including ontology development, object modeling, Workshop applications, data materialization, pipeline integration, and operational decision-support use cases.

· Experience supporting DOD clients, shore infrastructure, logistics, asset management, facilities management, maintenance operations, or readiness-focused analytics environments, with knowledge of how operational processes translate into data models and decision-support products.

· Experience developing governance processes for ontology lifecycle management, including version control, metadata management, object stewardship, change control, and alignment between source-system data structures and operational business processes.

Due to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector, work may be required to be completed at client, EY and/or contractor sites. Our goal is to assign professionals to projects within a commutable distance of their work location office. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. Candidates should be willing to travel 20 – 30% or more.

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $106,900 to $176,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $128,400 to $200,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
• Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
