DIETITIAN, SPECIALIST

Dietitian SpecialistWe are seeking a Behavioral Health Dietitian (Full-Time) to join our nutrition team at a Behavioral Health Facility located on the Rutgers Campus. This Registered Dietitian will manage all nutrition care for our patients in our 60-bed facility. The dietitian will teach nutrition education group classes, attend interdisciplinary meetings and counsel outpatient day school children as needed. This position will also assist with tray line operations and reviewing menus in our small operation.Key Responsibilities:Provides medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for the patient populationCreate and present monthly nutrition education to day school studentsReview patient menus and diet orders daily for complianceFollows all guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures ManualComplies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policiesParticipates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programsQualifications:Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required. RD Eligible Welcome.Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, in states where requiredExperience in food service preferredPossess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programmingCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
