Legal Billing Specialist
Fairlawn, OH | Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Are you a seasoned Legal Billing Specialist with experience managing complex law firm billing processes and electronic billing platforms? Our client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, is seeking a detail-oriented professional to oversee attorney billing portfolios, ensure billing accuracy, and deliver exceptional client service.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who excels in a fast-paced legal environment and has hands-on experience with Elite 3E and various eBilling systems .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete billing cycle for assigned attorneys, including pre-bill review, invoice generation, edits, and final distribution.
- Partner with attorneys to review, revise, and finalize client invoices in a timely manner.
- Process billing adjustments, write-offs, write-downs, transfers, and corrections.
- Ensure invoices comply with client billing guidelines and firm billing policies.
- Submit and track invoices through multiple electronic billing platforms.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected invoices, and payment issues.
- Maintain detailed billing records and supporting documentation.
- Support month-end billing activities, reporting, and account analysis.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of legal billing experience within a law firm environment.
- Strong proficiency with:
- Elite 3E
- eBillingHub
- Electronic billing vendor platforms
- Experience using systems such as:
- Legal Tracker
- CounselLink
- TyMetrix (T360)
- Legal-X
- Other comparable eBilling platforms
- Thorough understanding of:
- Legal billing procedures and cycles
- Pre-bill review and editing processes
- Invoice preparation, submission, and follow-up
- Client billing guidelines and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
