Position Summary
We are hiring a full-time Preschool Teacher - Floater to join our school and help support daily operations. The Preschool Teacher - Floater provides assistance across multiple areas of the preschool, including kitchen, classroom and administrative support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing meals, supporting teachers and is flexible, hands-on and comfortable jumping between tasks throughout the day, and who is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Un Mundo de Amigos Preschool serves over 100 children annually and provides high quality early childhood education to children living in traditionally underserved communities. Following the guidelines of the Reggio Emilia approach, we provide a safe learning environment for all children to reach their potential. Un Mundo de Amigos is committed to providing a world-class preschool education to children living in underserved areas within the City of Long Beach. 

Compensation & Benefits 
The compensation for this position is $17.00 - $21.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for the following benefits:

What You’ll Do 

• Serve snacks and meals following CACFP standards and complete the related paperwork 
• Clean and maintain the school, including the kitchen, classrooms, administration areas, playground and outdoor spaces. 
• Assist with classroom, playground and mealtime set up as needed.
• Support the Site Supervisor with daily operations, supply needs and special activities. 
• Provide classroom coverage by supervising children and supporting activities during teacher absences. 
• Model positive behavior and redirect less positive behavior with respect and dignity. 
• Assist with set up and clean up for school events.
• Other responsibilities as assigned. 

What We’re Looking For 

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required. 
• At least 6 months experience working with children. 
• Commitment to the mission of high-quality, inclusive early childhood education. 
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to assist wherever needed across all areas of the preschool. 
• Beginner experience with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Comfortable engaging with diverse populations and communities. 
• At least 1 year of experience in an educational setting preferred.
