Specifications Specialist Contractor

The Specifications Specialist Contractor is responsible for developing finished product specifications. They work with a cross-functional team to ensure specifications are complete, consistent, and are released in a timely fashion. They anticipate and effectively prioritize projects against changing business demands. They review specifications for conformance to performance governance standards and naming conventions. They identify specification inconsistencies and drive spec accuracy. They proactively identify bottlenecks in the specification process and recommend solutions. They serve as the point of contact for all specification needs on their supporting platform and lead early management activities. They summarize and report project activity for FPS and business teams.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Labeling or related field. Basic understanding of the product commercialization process from product design to manufacturing is required. Comfortable working with cross-functional teams, experience writing technical specifications, good interpersonal and communication skills, good organizational skills, self-directed, motivated, and good time management are also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Office 365, and SharePoint is necessary.
