Capital City Lumber is looking for a reliable, customer-focused Sales & Service Associate to join our team. This is a key role that keeps our yard and store running smoothly by providing excellent service to contractors and homeowners.

Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers at the front counter. Answer phones and handle inquiries about products, pricing, and availability. Process orders, quotes, and payments accurately. Coordinate with the yard and sales team on will-call and delivery orders. Maintain a clean, organized counter and sales area. Help with basic inventory and stocking as needed.

Qualifications: Friendly, professional attitude with strong customer service skills. Ability to multitask in fast paced environment. Basic computer skills (point-of-sale or similar experience a plus) Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. Knowledge of building materials is a plus, but will train the right person Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. 1–3 years of experience in a retail setting preferred; experience working in a lumber company, building materials, hardware, or construction-related environment is highly desirable.
