The Millwright installs, assembles, and secures new industrial machinery and tanks, ensuring all equipment is properly leveled, aligned, and anchored according to floor and site specifications. This role focuses on safe and precise rigging, mechanical work, and industrial repairs within a large-scale manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and install new machinery and tanks in accordance with engineering and floor specifications.
• Level, align, and anchor equipment to ensure safe, stable, and accurate operation.
• Perform installation and assembly of industrial equipment, tanks, and related mechanical systems.
• Carry out rigging activities to move, position, and secure heavy equipment safely.
• Use welding and mechanical skills to support installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.
• Inspect equipment and installations to verify proper alignment, anchoring, and operational readiness.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs to maintain equipment reliability.
• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate rigging and mechanical tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively, including in Spanish where applicable.
• Maintain and use personal tools and equipment in good working condition.

Essential Skills

• At least 5+ years of experience as a Millwright with strong rigging experience.
• Proven experience in installation and assembly of industrial equipment and tanks.
• Rigging skills and experience moving and positioning heavy machinery.
• Mechanical aptitude for industrial equipment installation and repair.
• Welding skills applicable to industrial and mechanical work.
• Ability to read and follow floor specifications and installation requirements.
• Spanish speaking or bilingual communication skills.
• Ability to work safely from heights.
• Reliability in working extended hours, including early start times and overtime.
• Ownership and regular use of personal tools required for millwright and rigging work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in industrial environments such as large manufacturing or fabrication facilities.
• Preferred prior experience in rigging for complex equipment installations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse crews on large construction or industrial projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills for mechanical and installation challenges.
• Attention to detail in leveling, aligning, and anchoring equipment.
• Capability to adapt to changing schedules and varying start times.

Work Environment

The role is based on a large industrial job site with extensive construction and manufacturing activity. You will typically work five 10-hour days per week, with frequent opportunities for Saturday work, resulting in approximately 50+ hours weekly. Start times can vary and may be as early as 4:00 a.m. during the summer, so flexibility is important. Work often occurs at heights and around heavy equipment, requiring strict adherence to safety procedures and appropriate personal protective equipment. You are expected to bring and use your own tools suitable for millwright and rigging tasks while working in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $51.91 - $51.91/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
