Laboratory AssistantPerform routine activities support efficient functioning of the Quality Control laboratory.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintains laboratory supply inventory to ensure no laboratory downtime. This includes proper labeling of chemicals and reagents.Management of reference standards systemResponsible for all ordering for the Quality control department and subsequent receiptPreparation of documentation and chemicals for shipment to third-party laboratories and customersSampling raw materials and packaging components upon receiptOrganizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and compliance requirementsOrganizing QC LAB documents including but not limited to the qualification, calibration, and validation documentsCleaning and maintaining laboratory workstations, equipment, and retain roomRetain sample managementProper maintenance of GMP documentations of all applicable activityCalibration of instruments when necessaryGas cylinder change-outsFollow SOPs and maintain good documentation during work: data management and maintenance to ensure compliance for audit preparationWrite data summary reportsWork in strict GMP environmentSupport lab with continuous improvement projectsEducation/ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required, Associate's degree in a scientific field preferred0 to 3 years of experience in a GMP laboratory settingStrong communication skillsStrong computer skillsExcellent organizational skillsAble to work independentlyGeneral Oversight and Direction:Receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by Manager. Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training.
