Production Supervisor

Role Description The Production Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Ficosa’s manufacturing facility in Cookeville, TN. This role oversees daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are consistently met. The Production Supervisor coordinates production schedules, assigns work, and monitors output to maintain efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment. Responsibilities include leading and coaching production team members, resolving operational issues in real time, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves enforcing safety and quality standards, maintaining accurate production records, and collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and logistics to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate production team activities to meet established production and quality targets. Organize and allocate work efficiently across team members based on skills and operational needs. Promote and enforce Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) standards, acting as a role model for safe and sustainable practices. Foster team engagement, accountability, and continuous development. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare equipment and workstations; assign operators based on technical skills and experience. Monitor workflow, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain productivity and quality. Train and coach operators and team leaders; conduct audits as needed. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the department. Supervise performance of personnel, equipment, and work processes; maintain and update skill matrices. Complete and maintain production, quality, and attendance documentation. Monitor adherence to quality standards for processes and finished products. Report key performance metrics (KPIs) and operational results to the Section Manager. Manage and optimize the use of materials and resources. Participate in pre-shift and daily production meetings. Ensure team members have and properly use required safety equipment and resources. Support continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and environmental performance. Lead or participate in incident investigations, including root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys) and corrective action implementation. Participate in risk assessments and safety inspections. Ensure team compliance with OHSE procedures and standards. Contribute to safety committees and promote awareness of lessons learned from incidents. Define and track performance indicators to improve operational effectiveness. Adhere to company Code of Ethics and Information Security Management System (ISMS) requirements. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in English (spoken and written). Manufacturing/production floor environment requiring adherence to safety protocols.
