Contract | Rotating Shifts (07:00–19:00, 10:00–22:00, 13:00–01:00, 19:00–07:00) | Every other weekend required | Holiday coverage required unless otherwise noted in signed contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care in an 11-bed/trauma bay Level 4 Trauma Center ER, managing approximately 37 patients per day
• Operate as an independent, full-scope ER nurse — responsibilities include triage, phlebotomy, telemetry strip reading, and management of ER holds
• Assess and care for a wide range of emergency diagnoses; TNCC certification required given the trauma-level designation and high-volume interstate corridor setting
• Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation and patient management
• Collaborate with on-site RT (available 24/7), imaging department (adjacent to ER), in-house security, and occasional nurse aides or paramedics
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3–4 and participate in rotating charge/triage RN responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Oregon or eligibility to obtain one (Oregon 90-day Emergency License may be available)
• Minimum 2–3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity, full-scope ER environment where nurses independently manage all aspects of patient care
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, low-resource setting
• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department setting
