Role: Java Developer with Hadoop
Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Visa Type: All valid USA visas
Experience: 10 15 years
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 10 15 years of experience in Java/backend application development
- Strong hands-on experience with Core Java 10+/11+/17+
- Strong experience with Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience developing Microservices Architecture
- Strong experience developing RESTful Web Services/APIs
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture
- Experience with OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes
- Strong experience with Oracle SQL / PL-SQL or similar relational databases
- Experience with JUnit and Mockito
- Experience with Git, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines
- Basic to intermediate experience with the Hadoop ecosystem
- Working knowledge of HDFS, YARN, and Hive
- Experience with basic Hive query development and troubleshooting
- Understanding of data ingestion and batch processing workflows
- Experience working with Hadoop-based data platforms to support application development
- Experience with distributed data platforms and messaging systems
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and secure coding practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Experience with code reviews, testing, deployment, production support, and performance optimization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB
- Experience with Splunk or Dynatrace
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Banking / Financial Services domain experience
- Experience with DevSecOps practices
Note: Hadoop is a secondary skill. Candidates are not expected to have deep Hadoop administration, cluster management, or advanced Big Data Engineering experience.
