Technology Support Specialist

Primary Functions: All duties and responsibilities associated with a Technology Support Specialist position.

Qualifications : High school diploma is required

Excellent communication and organization skills

Ability to handle multiple projects at a time

Reports To : Director of Student Learning and Technology

Salary: Salary determined by classified pay scale and prior experience(s)

Days and Hours: 12 Months. 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for staff and students needing technology assistance through the helpdesk, phone calls, and ticket system.
  • Help users resolve common issues such as password resets, account access problems, browser issues, printing, and basic Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot technology problems, determine whether issues are software or hardware related, and route hardware repairs to the appropriate technician.
  • Create, update, and manage support tickets while keeping users informed of progress and next steps.
  • Assist with account management, onboarding questions, testing support, and maintaining documentation for common technology issues and solutions.
