For more information, see: Description Provides general nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department. Assists the physician by performing nursing assessments, treatments, and by instructing all patients as needed. Education and Licensure Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree from a two-year college, or Bachelor Degree from a four-year college and successful completion of a prescribed curriculum leading to licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas. Qualifications Preferably at least one year of successful nursing practice; prior critical care experience is preferred. Must obtain BCLS and ACLS within 1 year, and PALS and Trauma Nursing Core Course within 2 years.
