Plasma Center Nurse- RN

About the role You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). The role involves determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable results. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of the Center Physician’s standing orders and donor transport to emergency care. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS. Provide center‑level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS) and assist with pandemic threat investigations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate‑equivalent nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified in the state of assignment: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). Current CPR and AED certification and state‑required basic IV therapy. Completed FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Benefits and Compensation Location: USA – TX – Fort Worth. Hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98. Actual wage depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education and location. Eligible for short‑term incentives.
