Join Us as a Mental Health Technician! We are looking for an enthusiastic Mental Health Technician to join our team on the Mental Health Unit. You will work hand-in-hand with Licensed Nursing Staff, providing patient care and helping create a therapeutic space where people can thrive. Whether you are assisting with daily activities or providing a listening ear, you will be making a real impact every day. What You’ll Be Doing Helping patients with daily activities and providing direct care under the supervision of our nursing team Keeping the environment supportive, safe, and positive for everyone Assisting with a variety of duties from clerical tasks to helping in a clinical setting Using your skills and compassion to help patients feel at ease and supported Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Must obtain BCLS certification within 120 days of hire (and keep it current for continued employment) Clearance through the Family Care Registry Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management, or Educators in the established timeline Department Orientation with Classroom and Clinical Training equivalent to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) regulations — or meet specific background criteria as listed Unlicensed Assistive Personnel training requirements can be waived if the employee demonstrates competency in required content areas Must Meet One Of The Following Enrolled in a professional or practical nursing program and completed a fundamentals of nursing course Was a nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure exam in the past 3 years Certified as a nursing assistant per state regulation Certified or trained in UAP curriculum Has documented experience as a nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical technician in the past 3 years Completed UAP training in Missouri within the last 3 years Completed a professional or practical nursing program outside the U.S. and awaiting licensure in this country UAPs from staffing agencies must comply with training requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience in patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ambulation, feeding, etc.) Previous mental health experience BCLS certification Why You’ll Love Working With Us A supportive, fun, and collaborative team Opportunities for career growth and development A positive and welcoming work environment where you can truly make a difference If you’re ready to provide compassionate care and be part of a dynamic team, we want to hear from you.
