Job Opportunity – Hematologist Oncologist – Iowa

Schedule: 2 weeks per month, Monday through Thursday, 8-hour shifts (0800-1630). Approximately 16 shifts per month with potential on-call coverage one week and one weekend per month (phone calls only).

Highlights:

• Primarily outpatient clinic-based role with minimal inpatient responsibilities
• Daily patient volume of 16-20 with adjustable appointment lengths (15-20 minutes follow-up, 60 minutes consults)
• Strong support team including 2 Advanced Practice Providers, nursing staff, lab, social work, dietician, and ancillary services
• Full range of oncology services offered including antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy, and bone marrow biopsies
• EPIC EMR system with on-site medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy
• Teaching opportunities available for those interested in education

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology (candidates Board Certified in Oncology with strong Hem/Onc experience will be considered)
• Fellowship Training in Hematology and Oncology
• Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC
• Availability for at least 2 weeks per month (Monday through Thursday)
• Clean malpractice and background history
• Experienced candidates preferred; new graduates will also be reviewed
