We value curiosity, critical thinking, and a willingness to embrace change as part of how we work.Position OverviewThe Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our Specialty insurance products through a combination of manual testing and the development and execution of automated test scripts. We're looking for someone with a strong foundation in testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role will report to the AVP, Quality Assurance and the role will work out of an office on a hybrid basis.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the planning and execution of project / release testing activitiesPrioritization of tasks according to business needsCapacity planning, allocation of tasks and activities, tracking and reportingManage clients, partners and other project stakeholders and handle risks and issues and take appropriate project related decisionsCollaborate with team located across shores in successfully delivering the projectEnsure escalation processes are followed to swiftly alert all the project stakeholders to risks or issues in the project and ensure appropriate actions are takenBuild close relationships with all levels of the organization to allow open flow of communicationAct as an escalation for concernsDrafting Test Strategy, Test PlanTest effort estimationManaging test schedulesStatus and Metrics report to stakeholders, design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.Maintain and update the test Automation framework as needed.Execute automated test suites to identify defects to improve software quality.Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipeline.Stay up to date on the latest advancements in test automation tools and best practices.Assist with ad hoc projects as needed and contribute to a collaborative, high ? performing culture aligned with The Ascot WayRequirementsBachelor's degree or other equivalent years of experience/degreesMinimum of 5 years' experience as in a testing/QA role in the financial services industryMinimum 3 years' experience in the Commercial and/or Specialty insurance industry requiredExposure to different SDLCs, Agile experience is a mustFunctional Testing experienceStrong MS Office skillsExcellent communication including verbal, written and presentation skillsAnalytical, rigorous, with attention to detailAbility to quickly adapt to new situations as they developProficiency in test automation tools (e.g. Playwrite, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress) is preferredKnowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript) and programing languages (e.g. Java, C#) is preferredExperience with API testing and tools like Postman and SoapUI is a plus.***This position may be filled at a different level, depending on experience***CompensationActual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot's total compensation package for employees.
